The conference presented a synthesis of case studies in three regions – North Africa, Turkey and the Western Balkan countries, the possibilities and perspectives of cooperation mechanisms in helping Europe to achieve its renewable energy goals in 2020. There was a discuss about the long-term benefits that can be achieved through mututal energy cooperation, as well as the potential socio-economic and environmental benefits for the EU and neighboring countries.
Strategy should encourage local and national authorities, citizens, and especially investors to invest in new systems of production of renewable energy sources, the construction of interconnection and the electrification of transport.
